Introduction

It’s worth noting that the teams shown may not necessarily end up being the final teams or the transfers may have been made in the days prior to the posting . It’s an informal situation to give you an idea of trends. However the FFGeek team and the Contributor Tracker team mentioned above on the FFGeek Patreon site all make transfers as articles are posted. So you’re always up to date and live

Sergio has used his Triple Captain Chip and his wildcard

Played my wildcard last week, so gameweeks 28 and 29 are really key to my season. GW28 started ok, though not spectacular, 99 points and another green arrow is acceptable though. As usual when playing the wildcard, some things worked and others not so much. The negatives first, the differential points this week were on Aston Villa, Chelsea and Newcastle players plus captain. Can’t complain of the Villa ones because I didn’t even consider them, got James so that was good but he is injured now, and the one I regret more not having was Havertz, because I did think about him as a differential option, just I didn’t go there. Captaining Raphinha was also rubbish and the difference between an ok week or a great one. As well I left 22 points on the bench on Saka and Kulusevski, but realistically I was always going to play double gameweek players plus big hitters. On the positive side, I nailed the Newcastle picks with Fraser and Wood, picked Kane over son, included James 18 pointers and everyone else generally returned.

Onto GW29, I am reasonably well setup for a bench boost. The plan was always to -4 two of the single gameweek players, which how things are looking in terms of injuries and possible benchings are going to be James and Broja. The defender I will bring in is Doherty, pretty settled on that, more risky pick than an Arsenal defender but much higher ceiling. Which means I’ve got money for any striker up to Lacazzete’s price. But I will go DCL instead, playing the doubles fixtures and taking the gamble more than anything else.
The one concerned that has appeared is around Michael Keane, who I know has been rubbish lately but I thought is secured to play. However he was subbed off at halftime this week due to feeling unwell, although apparently he is fine now? Will he play or not, I don’t know, if I knew he doesn’t play it is probably worth considering not incurring a -4 and saving the bench boost chip. But on the other hand I really want this chip out of the way to not keep having decisions influenced by the possible playing of this chip. Don’t think I will know whether he plays or not before the deadline, so I will go ahead with bench boost this week.

Week captain will be Salah, although there could be some consideration for Kane. However the poles are so much in favour of Salah that I don’t feel this is a week to go against the tide. As for the bench, bench boost week! So everyone gets to play, please give me some points guys 🙂

Good luck all

Ben Wooton

Ben’s last 4 seasons ORs were 338k, 5k, 61k, 26k and 31k.

GW28 Points: 93 -4 (12 top managers 99) Total points: 1,759, Overall Rank: 243k, green arrow: 5k   Team Value: £105.6

Ben has used his wildcard

OK week for me with 93 (-4).

Coutinho cap did ok in the end even if James had me worrying a bit.

Dennis has gone for this week for Kane. Bit tough to decide who to lose up top but I wouldn’t lose value on the others and Watford seem poor. Kane feels like a key own this week so he’s in.

Capt on Salah ( might triple him too). Think he plays well vs both sides he has in the past.

Vice Alexander Arnold, Kane the 3rd option.

Bowen could be out but Digne feels like a good sub option.

Looking to free hit next week as things stand but will have final look 2mw.
Saka is a nice option might yet take hit

Good luck,
