Free-agent running back Adrian Peterson continues to train and is waiting for another opportunity to play for an NFL team. “That’s all I’m asking for. My body feels good. I came out healthy from last season. My body feels strong. I still feel young. I still feel good. I’m ready to play ball,” Peterson said. The 36-year-old started 10 of 16 games last year with the Detroit Lions and rushed for 604 yards and seven touchdowns on 156 attempts (3.9 yards per carry). The seven-time Pro Bowler and former Offensive Player of the Year and Offensive Rookie of the Year is motivated to win a Super Bowl ring before he retires, and he’s comfortable accepting a backup role. The future Hall of Famer probably won’t land with a new team until injuries start to hit in training camp, but he can still be effective in small doses in real life in the right situation. Just don’t expect much fantasy value, if any.
