  1. Houston Texans: C.J. Stroud, QB, Ohio State

The Texans will likely give Davis Mills a chance to start in 2022. This is fine because it’ll allow Houston to tank for one of the top quarterbacks in the 2023 NFL Draft class.

C.J. Stroud completed 71 percent of his passes this past season. He’s a lethal passer and can run if he needs to with his 4.65 speed.

  2. Chicago Bears: Will Anderson, DE/OLB, Alabama

The Bears traded Khalil Mack in an attempt to rebuild, so they’ll have to find a new dominant edge rusher to pair with Robert Quinn. I imagine they’d stick it out with Justin Fields and move down to No. 3 in this order.

Will Anderson has ridiculous speed and athleticism. He was a force in Alabama’s defense this past season.

  3. Atlanta Falcons: Bryce Young, QB, Alabama

The Falcons traded Matt Ryan, so if Marcus Mariota and Desmond Ridder aren’t viable replacements – given where the Falcons are drafting, we can assume this is the case – they’ll be interested in one of the blue-chip quarterbacks in this class. They could move up to No. 2, much like the Bears did with Mitchell Trubisky in 2017. Hopefully they have better results!

Bryce Young has size issues – he’s 5-11 – but he has drawn comparisons to Kyler Murray.

  4. Jacksonville Jaguars: Jaxon Smith-Njigba, WR, Ohio State

The Jaguars paid big bucks to Christian Kirk, but he’s not a No. 1 receiver. The Jaguars will need to give Trevor Lawrence more help.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba has incredible speed and athleticism. He had a huge 2021 campaign, which included a terrific Rose Bowl performance.

  5. Seattle Seahawks: Anthony Richardson, QB, Florida

Drew Lock, Geno Smith and Jacob Eason are not the answers. The Seahawks need to find a new franchise signal-caller.

Anthony Richardson is raw, but has a huge arm and great athleticism.

Pick change; previously Will Levis, QB

  6. New York Giants: Kelee Ringo, CB, Georgia

The Giants were targeting one of Derek Stingley or Ahmad Gardner with the No. 5 pick, but neither fell to them.

A huge cornerback with lots of upside, Kelee Ringo performed well in place of Tyson Campbell.

  7. New York Jets: Bryan Bresee, DT, Clemson

The Jets strengthen their edge rush with Jermaine Johnson, but they could stand to get stronger in the interior of their defensive line.

Bryan Bresee has terrific quickness and athleticism.

Pick change; previously Myles Murphy, DT

  8. Washington Redskins: Eli Ricks, CB, Alabama

The Redskins could use more secondary help, especially at cornerback. It was surprising that they didn’t really focus on the position in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Eli Ricks is a 6-2 cornerback who had a breakout season for Alabama.

  9. Pittsburgh Steelers: Joey Porter Jr., CB, Penn State

The Steelers lost Joe Haden this offseason, so they’ll need to find a new No. 1 cornerback.

The son of the former Steeler great is a 6-2 cornerback with high potential.

  10. Tennessee Titans: Michael Mayer, TE, Notre Dame

The Titans have needed help at tight end for quite some time, so perhaps they’ll use this pick to finally fill that need.

The next NFL tight end to come out of Notre Dame, Michael Mayer murdered opponents with high production over the middle of the field.

  11. Carolina Panthers: Jalen Carter, DT, Georgia

With no quarterback worth taking, the Panthers can bolster their defensive line by adding a stud to play next to Derrick Brown.

Jalen Carter has shown flashes of huge upside.

  12. Philadelphia Eagles: B.J. Ojulari, DE/OLB, LSU

Brandon Graham won’t be around much longer, so the Eagles will need an edge rusher for the future.

B.J. Ojulari did a great job of taking over for the injured Ali Gaye in 2021.

Pick change; previously Habukkuk Baldanad, DE

  13. Dallas Cowboys: Latham Ransom, CB, Ohio State

The Cowboys could stand to improve against deep passes. They need a new cornerback across from Trevon Diggs.

Lathan Ransom is a 6-1 cornerback who thrived as a freshman.

  14. Minnesota Vikings: Will Levis, QB, Kentucky

This might be the end of the road for Kirk Cousins. If the Vikings fail to make the playoffs, Minnesota’s new regime could replace him.

Will Levis has a big arm and could become a hot prospect in 2023.

  15. New England Patriots: Malachi Moore, CB/S, Alabama

Bill Belichick loves his versatile defensive backs. He’ll need one with Devin McCourty nearing retirement.

Malachi Moore is an instinctive defensive back who can play anywhere in the defensive backfield.

  16. Miami Dolphins: Bijan Robinson, RB, Texas

Call me crazy, but I don’t expect Raheem Mostert and Chase Edmonds to remain healthy for a whole season.

Bijan Robinson is going to be another running back chosen early in the draft. All of his attributes are at sky-high levels.
