The Formula 1 cars will be on track for around six hours at the 2022 Miami Grand Prix, including two 60-minute practice sessions on Friday afternoon, a third 60-minute practice session and qualifying on Saturday afternoon. The main event begins at 15:30 on Sunday afternoon.
The support schedule for the race includes the all-female W Series, which will be staging the first races of its third season in Miami this year, as well as the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America. The Formula 1 Pirelli Hot Laps supercars will also be taking some lucky passengers around the track at various times over the weekend.
Before the race on Sunday, a team principals’ parade will be held at the same time as the drivers’ parade. We think this is a first, and is testament to the high profile the team bosses have earned in recent seasons due to the popularity of the Netflix series, Drive to Survive.
