North American esports organisation XSET has announced the signing of Spanish tattoo artist Joaquin Ganga, known by many as Ganga.

As a result, the organisation will open gaming spaces in Ganga’s tattoo studios in Los Angeles and Murcia, alongside collaborating with the artist on a range of merchandise.

According to a release, there are a total of three merchandise drops. The first of which is a limited-edition Xbox skin featuring the artist’s ‘nomad’ figurine.

Alongside creating gaming spaces within tattoo studios, the partnership also plans on creating multiple venues alongside the creation of ‘various forms of content’. Details on future content projects were not disclosed.

In 2022, XSET has made several appointments as it consolidates its position in the gaming and esports industries. April saw the acqui-hiring of talent agency Astoic Management and in June, the organisation appointed Tim Mulligan as its Head of Sales.

The deal marks Ganga’s first foray into gaming and esports. The artist is known for tattooing a variety of celebrities including LeBron James, Canadian rapper Drake and NFL player Odell Beckham Jr.

Lonnie Anthony, Chief Innovation Officer at XSET, spoke on the appointment: “We are incredibly excited to welcome Ganga to the XSET family. When I came on as Chief Innovation Officer, I definitely wanted to make a splash with my first signee within the organisation.

“Ganga is the best artist in the world, and he embodies the crossover between the different verticals that XSET represents (art, gaming, music, fashion, sports). The world is just beginning to wake up to the genius of Ganga and we look forward to helping him make his mark in the area of gaming.”
