Techniche, IIT Guwahati’s annual technology and management festival will be holding its 24th edition in the later half of 2021. After successfully conducting the world’s first virtual techno-management festival in September 2020, they have scheduled to begin their second virtual edition, marked by various fun and engaging events all under a special umbrella appropriately titled, Funniche.

Staying true to their purpose, and for the first time ever, they have prepared a widely varied range of events, scheduled from the 1st till the 14th of June, 2021. From a game of Trivia to a Valorant championship and a virtual Chess tournament, Techniche has quite a line-up for esports enthusiasts during this pandemic.
The Funniche week will commence from 1st June with Fun Trivia based on web series, TV shows and movies. Valorant will be the highlight of the week with multiple knockout stages. The finals would be on 10th June.
In the words of the Chairman Technical Board, IIT Guwahati himself, “Techniche IIT Guwahati is pleased to launch their first-ever Esports festival in India to foster and motivate young Indian minds. This event will ensure to ignite the competitive spirits despite being at home. The main motive of the event is to boost the morale of the bright young brains and to develop the culture of Esports in India.”

We have put a lot of thought into this and feel that it would be a great way for people to connect and get in the competitive spirit while being at home despite the pandemic.” said Shubham Singh, the Convenor of Techniche IIT Guwahati.
