Game developer 1047 Games, the company behind FPS Splitgate, has announced that the gaming arm of eommerce company Amazon, Prime Gaming, will serve as the presenting partner for the upcoming Splitgate Pro Series Summer season.
As a result of the partnership, Prime users will be able to receive special in-game bonuses and the Prime Gaming brand will be featured in broadcasts.

Splitgate also announced a myriad of other details, including the introduction of new professional teams that are joining the Pro Series.
Splitgate is a free-to-play PC and console arena shooter where teams compete against each other by using weapons and portals. The title has proved to be a popular within the North American esports scene. Moreover, 1047 games raised three rounds of funding in 2021, with the latest one amounting to $100m (£81.1m)
The Splitgate Pro Series, the highest-tier tournament circuit for the game, was announced in late 2021 and commenced its first season in December.
Prime Gaming shared the details of the partnership: “As part of the Splitgate Pro Series this season, players will be able to see replay segments, gameplay breakdowns, player and broadcast interviews, and much more made possible by Prime Gaming. Prime Gaming will also be taking over the map in-game!”

The upcoming season of the Splitgate Pro Series will feature a prize pool of $100,000 (~£81,000). T1, Luminosity Gaming, Spacestation Gaming, XSET, Moist and eUnited have also joined the Pro Series for its 2022 Summer season. The overall prize pool for 2022 is $500,000 (~£405,000).
Esports Insider says: Splitgate is a fast-growing esports title, and the fact that the company raised $100m should put it on the radar of any FPS enthusiast. The new partnership with Prime Gaming should also help the scene commercially. It’s good to see that a newcomer to the competitive FPS genre is making good steps.
