LCO 2022 Split 2: Dire Wolves stake sole claim of second; Chiefs continue split rampage

LCO 2022 Split 2, and the league’s competitors see sweeping changes as OCE’s best line up for a spot at Worlds. Who will be crowned as the LCO champions and represent the region at the pinnacle of League of Legends?

  • Dire Wolves down Pentanet, claim outright second in standings
  • Three way tie for third as first round robin concludes today
  • Gravitas look for opening win against Order, first up tomorrow

Week three in and there’s next to nothing separating the LCO Split 2 midfield.

While Chiefs continue their LCO rampage at 6-0, Pentanet and Dire Wolves are neck and neck at 4-2, and will go head-to-head next Monday in a top of the table barnstormer.

For Dire Wolves, the next couple of weeks are telling; their 4-2 record comes through the likes of Gravitas, Mammoth and Kanga. Next week they’ll take both Pentanet and Peace — their playoff chances will certainly be gauged by their performances in both matchups.

Order are still to find their Split 1 groove as their adjustments continue into week four, tied with Peace, who themselves are struggling for consistency.

Kanga and Mammoth sit below, while Gravitas’ winless streak has surpassed Split 1, where they netted their first win in week three over Kanga.

They’ll need to take down either Order or Peace to avoid a dreaded 0-8 month-long loss streak.

LCO 2022 Split 2 Rosters

Split 2 sees widespread changes to our LCO crews.

MSI representatives Order saw a change in the jungle following Shane “Kevy” Allen’s departure to North America, picking up Jeong “Goodo” Min-jae from Dire Wolves.

While Kevy departs, Vincent “Violet” Wong returns from Golden Guardians Academy and will take up the starting bot lane position at Peace alongside the squad’s former coach Vincent “gunkrab” Lin.

Other teams saw a mixed bag of changes; Dire Wolves will feature four new members of the Wolf Pack, while Pentanet will start Split 2 exactly as they ended.
