In 2019, Honda replaced its long-standing carbureted CRF230F with the new fuel-injected CRF250F. In addition to a 22cc displacement bump over its predecessor, the quarter-liter trailbike featured 12mm more rear-wheel travel and 5mm-taller seat foam. Big Red’s 249cc air-cooled recreational trailbike has not changed mechanically since then.
The CRF250F made its first appearance on the Dirt Rider dyno this year, where it churned 20.1 hp at 7,500 rpm and 15.5 pound-feet of torque at 6,000 rpm. Keep an eye out for an upcoming review of this motorcycle as well as a comparison test between it and the 2021 Kawasaki KLX230R.
