Defending Premier League champion Glen Durrant had his elimination confirmed from this season’s tournament on Tuesday after falling to a seventh successive defeat against Jose de Sousa (9/1 – Premier League Outright).
Durrant won eight of his 16 matches in last season’s Premier League, drawing five and losing just three times.
The 50-year-old, who hails from Middlesbrough, hasn’t been able to reach those levels this term and Tuesday’s 7-4 loss to De Sousa confirmed his elimination from the competition.

The Portuguese is on a three-match winning streak, which includes a victory over Van den Bergh, as he continues to impress during his maiden Premier League campaign.
