Cameron Green just won’t stop scoring runs.
After a promising start to his Test career against India, the youngster labelled the “best since Pointing” by Greg Chappell is dominating the Sheffield Shield.
“This kid can play – he’s a serious talent. I think he’s the best batting talent I’ve seen since Ricky Ponting,” Chappell told SEN on the eve of the summer.
“He’s got something special in that he’s 6ft 7in tall, we haven’t seen anyone of that size dominate from a batting point of view.”

Since returning from the Test side, the 21-year-old has taken his game to a new height.
It started in Premier Cricket, as Green made the impressive return to club-land by making an unbeaten 201.
Since then, he’s scored three centuries in as many matches.
His latest, an unbeaten century against Queensland at The Gabba on day one for Western Australia.
Green clipped Brendan Doggett off his legs to fine-leg to bring up his seventh first-class century midway through the second session. He took his helmet off and raised his bat to his teammates with the ease of a seasoned pro.
The tall right-hander came to the crease in a spot of bother.
After being sent in, Western Australia lost openers, including Cameron Bancroft, inside the opening 10 overs.
But together with Shaun Marsh (52), the duo powered the visitors to a position of strength at tea with Western Australia 2-195.
Elsewhere, Travis Head’s rich vein of form has continued for South Australia.
A week after his double century, the axed left-hander is unbeaten on 51 against a NSW attack featuring Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Nathan Lyon.
After failing to pick up a wicket in a while, Lyon has two wickets for the Blues and removed South Australian opener Jake Weatherald with a cracking delivery that spun and bounced and took the top of off-stump.
Meanwhile, Victoria took first-innings points against Tasmania as the Tigers were bowled out for 188 in reply to 199.
