Heavy rains on Friday and yesterday morning forced the restart of hardball cricket in Georgetown to be shifted back by one week. The Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) was all set for the reintroduction of the sport beginning with three matches of the Noble House Seafoods two-day, second-division tournament.
At the Queen’s College ground, Bel Air Rubis Two was set to take on 3rd Class on pitch one while the University of Guyana was billed to face Everest Cricket Club on pitch two. In the third match, Muslim Youth Organisation was booked to host Malteenoes Sports Club.
