Glenn Phillips catch vs Middlesex: The Kiwi batsman continues to amaze one and all with his amazing skills in T20 Blast 2021.
During a South Group match of the ongoing season of T20 Blast between Gloucestershire and Middlesex in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire batsman Glenn Phillips put on display an astounding fielding effort to dismiss Middlesex opening batsman Stephen Eskinazi (9).
It all happened on the fourth delivery of the third over when Eskinazi hit a full and wide delivery from Matt Taylor in the air on the off-side. With Phillips fielding at sweeper cover for a similar shot, Eskinazi fell to the trap laid by the home team at the College Ground.
Running to his left towards the ball, Phillips had no option than to go airborne in a bid to complete the catch. Not shying away, the 24-year old player ended up completing an absolute stunner to amaze one and all.

Chasing a 172-run target, Eskinazi was the first visiting batsman to get out. Despite Max Holden scoring 50* (34) with the help of five fours and a six, Middlesex fell short by 10 runs scoring 161/8 in 20 overs. While Taylor was among the five bowlers from Gloucestershire who picked a wicket each, Benny Howell was the pick of them with figures of 4-0-23-3.
Earlier, it was Middlesex captain Steven Finn who had won the toss and chose to bowl. While Finn was the only Middlesex bowler to remain wicket-less, the rest of them did pretty well to reduce the hosts to 88/5 in the 12th over. However, significant contributions from the lower-order powered them to 171/8 in 20 overs.
