Cult hero Rahkeem Cornwall has hit his maiden Test 50 to help give the West Indies a 99-run lead over Sri Lanka at stumps on the second day of the first Test at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua.
Cornwall ended the day unbeaten on 60 as he and Joshua Da Silva put on a 90-run eighth-wicket partnership to give the hosts a slim advantage.
The 140kg spinner will start back up on day three with Kemar Roach joining him at the crease hoping to add some more runs before putting the tourists back in to bat again.

Cornwall and Da Silva came together with the Windies at 171 for 7, just two runs ahead of Sri Lanka’s total from their first innings.
And they pressed hard, with Cornwall mixing some stern defence with some big hitting boundaries to reach his maiden half century that included nine fours and two sixes.
By the time Da Silva, who is playing in only his fourth Test, was caught out behind for 46 after trying to uppercut Dushmantha Chameera, the West Indies had built a 91-run lead.
