A panel of experts consider the highlights of Carl Froch’s career
Kal Yafai
Former world champion
My favourite Carl Froch moment was seeing him take apart Lucien Bute live. The atmosphere and Carl’s performance was unreal.
Lisa Whiteside
Commonwealth Games gold medallist
For me it would probably be his last fight against George Groves. After the controversy of whether the first bout was stopped too soon, in the rematch Froch clinically finished the contest with a good KO at Wembley. In front of 80,000 apparently.
Paul Edwards
Former British titlist
When I was on Ringside, he made me a nice cup of tea. His fight though has got to be the Bute fight. Because he just destroyed him. He stepped up to the plate when it was all against him and he just annihilated him. That was a massive win. It was impressive. I was ringside as well.
Chris McKenna
Sports reporter
It wasn’t the time he made me run through an Argos storeroom to get an interview before the Groves rematch. The moment for me is the right hand against Groves. Froch has had some great wins but wiping out a bitter rival to bring down the curtain on your career – doesn’t get much better.
