If you could be ringside for one fight in boxing history, which would it be?

If you could have been there for any fight in boxing history, which would it be?

Darren Barker
Former IBF champion

The Rumble in the Jumble. Imagine being ringside for that. I don’t think it gets any cooler than that. That’s epic. We not talking about a boxing superstar, we’re talking about a world icon, people just adored him and that was one of his greatest moments. I would have loved to have been there for that.

Thomas Stalker
GB Boxing Olympic captain

Naseem Hamed vs Kevin Kelley at Madison Square Garden. I’m a massive fan of Prince Naseem and that was best atmosphere I think I’ve seen from my TV.

Paul Ready
Boxing manager

It would have to be Hagler-Hearns. For the violence. Also I remember as a kid watching Nigel Benn-Gerald McClellan on the TV. It had everything.

Will Hart/HBO

Declan Taylor
Sports reporter

It’s a big question and a slightly predictable answer but it would have to be the Rumble in the Jungle. The whole trip would have been insane, from the six-week delay to the three-night music festival before the fight itself, then one of the most dramatic upsets in history to boot. Sign me up.
