AS Venus will represent Tahiti in the 2022 OFC Champions League.
AS Pirae – AS Venus 0-1
The single game qualifying match saw AS Pirae take on AS Venus for the chance to represent Tahiti at the premier club competition in Oceania.
And it was the guests in blue who battled their way through to the continental finals, set to take place in New Zealand in August.
In a game where chances were few and far between it would take until ten minutes before the end of extra time to find a winner
AS Venus’ Tauhiti Keck found the back of the net, following a corner that went all the way through the box and found his head on the back post.
AS Pirae never mounted a comeback and Keck’s header allows AS Venus to join Cook Islands’ Nikao Sokattack, New Zealand’s Auckland City and New Caledonia’s Hienghène Sport in the finals.
