Let’s Talk Badminton saw the launch of our biggest ever consultation with the badminton community and has proved invaluable in shaping our support around returning to play in 2021. We continue to work to respond to this feedback and more on this can be found on our website.
Now we are keen to keep the conversation going as we continue to understand the challenges and opportunities clubs face while helping to identify where our support is best placed.
Specific Let’s Talk Badminton Groups have been created that will provide updates from Badminton England, offer support on developing you and your sessions as well as a providing a chance to discuss and feedback on challenges and needs.
These groups also aim to become a local support network and a chance to share successes and best practice with others – check out our resource hub for more information and to join the conversation by linking up with a group.
Our monthly club webinar series, delivered by a combination of Badminton England staff and external facilitators, is also underway – these are relevant for all volunteer roles within a club setting and will soon be followed by coach webinar sessions, which will run every two months.
Before then, you can join our ‘Coaching’ group on the Badminton England Resource Hub to access support and guidance as well as enjoying a chance to speak to other coaches and share ideas.
For County Badminton Associations (CBAs), a County Badminton Association Group has been set up while regular updates will be provided by our Senior Relationship Manager, Lee Ward.
CBAs will have the opportunity to ask Badminton England questions via a forum, while work is continuing to give counties the chance to work together and share ideas.
Dedicated Relationship Manager check-in clinics will also been set up to boost partner engagement, while our national webinar sessions will provide the opportunity to work and support a variety of groups including :
- Membership
- Coaching secretaries
- Tournament Organisers
- Youth
- Education
- Safeguarding/Welfare Officers
- Leagues
- Leisure
