Central Connecticut men’s indoor track and field team put together a number of top finishes at the Great Dane Classic on Friday.
Isreal Henriques-Setho won the men’s long jump with an impressive 6.87m jump. This was Henriques-Setho’s first win of the season.
Jake Ireland finished second in the 1000 meter run with a 2:28.52 time
Andrew McCarthy had a first place finish in the shot put with a 14.00m throw.
McCarthy also finished third in the weight throw with a 16.89m distance throw.
Shawn Akomeah churned out a 12th place finish in the men’s 500 meter dash with a 1:08.89 time
Ali Diaby finished 14th in the men’s 400 meter dash with a 50.30 time.
The Blue Devils will be competing again on February 4-5 at the New England Intercollegiate Championships.
