Magnus Kirt hurt his shoulder back in fall 2019 in the Doha World Championships final where he won the silver medal. The shoulder injury has healed in schedule but unluckily Kirt suffered a leg injury in December which prevents him from participating in the Tokyo 2021 Olympics.

Kirt has not been able to start training 100% and he estimates to be back in competition in late August.

Kirt was in impressive form in the summer of 2019 when he threw over 90 meters twice and over 87 meters a total of 11 times. An addition to WC silver medal Kirt has a Europeran Championships bronze medal from 2018.
