JuVaughn Harrison competes in the Olympic final in both the long jump and the high jump

22-year-old JuVaughn Harrison (USA) achieved something special at the Tokyo Olympics 2021 on Saturday.

At the Tokyo Olympics JuVaughn Harrison advanced to the long jump Olympic final with 12 best men in the qualifiers. Harrison’s result in the qualification was 813.

On Friday, Harrison cleared high jump qualification with a result of 228 and he will compete in the final on Sunday.

Nowadays, it is very rare for the same athlete to compete at the top level in both the long jump and the high jump. About a century ago, some athletes achieved a medal at the Olympics in both events.
