Longwood Men’s Golf Adds Richmond Match, Announces Tournament Modification

FARMVILLE, Va. – Longwood men’s golf coach Kevin Fillman announced two schedule changes on Wednesday afternoon, including a new match against the University of Richmond on Sunday, March 21.
The format for Sunday’s match with the Spiders will be one-on-one stroke play, with each matchup worth a point. All nine players on Longwood will compete, as the first team to win at least five of the nine individual matchups will be victorious. The competition will be held at the Independence Golf Club in Midlothian, Va.
The Lancers next tournament, the William & Mary Horseshoe Intercollegiate, has also been modified from a three-day event to two. The opening two rounds at Golden Horseshoe Golf Club in Williamsburg, Va. will take place on Monday, March 29 with the final round set for Tuesday, March 30.
