The League of Legends: Wild Rift patch 3.3 update was recently previewed by Riot Games. The upcoming update feature gameplay adjustments, new content, and new champions. One of those new champions is Wild Rift Sion. The question now however is when is the Wild Rift Sion release date?
Previously data miners have revealed a week ago that Wild Rift Sion along with 3 other champions would be arriving. Now the leaks are confirmed to be true.
Who Is Wild Rift Sion
Sion’s passive, Glory in Death, allows him to keep fighting even after death. When Sion dies, he briefly comes back to life. He gains lifesteal, tenacity, and his abilities are replaced with Death Surge, which grants movement speed. To counteract this perk Sion’s health quickly decays over time. He will also gain bonus health whenever he kills a unit or gets a takedown on a champion.
Sion’s first ability is Decimating Smash. Casting it once channels the swing of the ax, and casting it again brings it down. Channeling it for long enough will change the slow effect into a knock-up. Sion’s second ability is Soul Furnace. It grants a shield that will explode with a second cast. His third ability, Roar of the Slayer, deals magic damage, slows, and reduces the armor of the first enemy hit. If it’s a minion, they’ll be knocked back, applying the same effects to all enemies in their path.
Sion’s ultimate, Unstoppable Onslaught, allows him to charge forward in a target direction. Once collided with an enemy or terrain, he’ll slam the ground to deal damage and knock up in an area. The farther Sion moves, the longer the knockup. During his charge, Sion is immune to all crowd control, and he can re-cast to end it early.
Wild Rift Sion will be available on July 14th when the League of Legends: Wild Rift patch 3.3 update drops.
