NXT 2.0 is back on the road having live events throughout the state of Florida. On Friday they had a show in Jacksonville and on Saturday they took their talent to Venice. At the Venice show, a new number one contender was crowned for the NXT Women’s Championship currently held by Mandy Rose.
Ivy Nile won a Fatal 4-way to earn her shot at the title Rose has held for nearly 250-days. She defeated Kiana James, Tatum Paxley, and Elektra Lopez. It is unknown if this championship match will air on NXT TV programming or if it will just take place on another future house show.
This will be Nile’s first shot at the NXT Women’s Championship but she recently went up against Meiko Satomura for the NXT UK Women’s Title. She came out with a loss with that marking her first singles loss since starting her NXT career.
Currently, an opponent for Rose at The Great American Bash on July 5 has not been confirmed.
