After nearly 11 years of experience working as the Purchasing Assistant for Little League® International, Heather Strassner has officially retired from the organization, effective May 31, 2022.
“On behalf of everyone here at Little League International, we would like to congratulate Heather on her retirement and thank her for the commitment she has given to our organization over the last 11 years,” said Stephen D. Keener, Little League President and CEO. “We are grateful for the valuable part she has played within the Little League program and wish her well on this well-deserved retirement.”
Ms. Strassner joined the Little League team in June 2011 as a Purchasing Assistant and has helped provide support and guidance to the organization and its millions of volunteers in that role for more than a decade. During that time, she has played a crucial role in navigating and coordinating between suppliers and tournament organizers at all Little League’s Region and World Series tournaments. During the Little League Baseball® World Series, Ms. Strassner also served as a tremendous support to the Little League merchandising team where she assisted with overseeing the operation of one of the complex’s three on-site store locations.
“It has been a joy and privilege to work with so many great people across the organization, the industry, and the community,” said Ms. Strassner. “All of us have been able to work together to support our most important team members – the kids – and I could not be more grateful for the family I have created here.”
Following her 11-year career with the organization, Ms. Strassner plans to spend more time with her family and faith community in retirement while also growing her gardening and painting skills and finding the perfect pet.
