Callum Hemming and Steven Stallwood face a blockbuster opening round men’s doubles match when the Thailand Open begins in Bangkok later this week.
Hemming and Stallwood will take on top seeds and world no.2’s Mohammed Ahsan and Hendra Setiawan in Round 1 on Wednesday in what will prove to be a huge test for the English duo.
They picked up one loss and one win in Thomas Cup action last week, and will hope to continue the form that saw them beat American duo Enrico Asuncion and Don Henley Averia.
On the same side of the draw sit Ben Lane and Sean Vendy, who are also unseeded at the event though have a much kinder draw than their team-mates.
Lane and Vendy take on the Chinese Taipei pairing of Lu Ching-yao and Yang Po-han in the first round, with a potential meeting against Danish seventh seeds Kim Astrup and Anders Skaarup Rasmussen in round two.
Meanwhile, Gregory Mairs and Jennifer Moore are in mixed doubles action.
Mairs and Moore take on Mathias Thyrri and Amalie Magelund in the opening round and could take on Chinese second seeds Zheng Siwei and Huang Yaqiong in round two.
