LITTLESTOWN, Pa. – The La Salle women’s golf team opened the Quail Valley Spring Invite on Monday afternoon, carding a 347 (+25) in the opening round of the event at the Quail Valley Golf Club.
The event is the Explorers’ third in four days, having played in a pair of duals on Friday and Saturday against Hofstra and Niagara.
ABOUT THE COURSE
- The Par 72 course plays at a length of 6,202 yards.
- The women play 36 holes, a round both today and on Tuesday.
- Seven different teams are in the event, both days starting with 8:30 a.m. tee times.
LA SALLE SCORECARD
- Hannah Basler has kept consistency over the past few tournaments, again carding the low score for the Explorers with an 81 (+9) on the afternoon.
- Kayleigh Zeman finished her first round near the top half of the field with an 86 (+14).
- Grace Hickey and Megan Ruffing each shared identical scores, carding a pair of 90s (+18).
- Libby Gilliland concluded the Explorers round with a 97 (+25) on the afternoon.
LEADERBOARD
- Heather McLean of Wagner College opened the tournament with a 75 (+3) to sit on top in the clubhouse, one stroke ahead of LIU’s Julia Towne and Monmouth’s Paige Diecidue.
- Wagner holds a three stroke lead over Monmouth, tallying a team score of 313 (+25) heading into tomorrow’s final round.
UP NEXT
- The Explorers conclude the tournament tomorrow before gearing up for the MAAC Championships on April 22-24 in Orlando at the Disney Magnolia Course.
