Word stemming from the Spanish media on Friday points towards an imminent boost to the personnel ranks at Spanish giants Barcelona, ahead of the club’s season run-in.
The player set to return to the reckoning under the watch of Xavi Hernandez? Ansu Fati
Wide-man Ansu has of course endured a nightmare campaign to date, restricted to just a trio of La Liga starts owing to ongoing injury problems.
The Spaniard’s latest such setback came in January, when a fresh hamstring issue picked up during a Copa del Rey meeting with Athletic Club saw him left understandably crestfallen in limping off the pitch and straight down the tunnel:

Ansu, in turn, has since remained on the sidelines, taking a precautionary approach so as not to suffer yet another potential setback.
And now, as alluded to above, such patience looks set to bear fruit.
As per a report from the reliable ESport3, Barcelona’s prodigious young attacker is on the verge of a return to first-team duties.
In fact, Ansu is expected to begin training with the rest of Xavi’s squad as early as Monday, ahead of a return to the pitch at some point in mid-April.

Barca thriving
Upon his imminent return, Ansu will of course step into a Barcelona squad boasting an altogether more positive outlook than that in which he last featured.
This comes with the Blaugrana, under the masterful watch of Xavi, having begun to click on all cylinders of late, en route to six wins and a draw from their last seven outings across all competitions.
Their most recent triumph, meanwhile, marked something of a statement, as a near-perfect display at the home of arch rivals Real Madrid saw the Catalans depart the Bernabeu with all three points, courtesy of a head-turning 4-0 victory.
