MUMBAI: Wicketkeeper-batsman Hardik Tamore was on Tuesday named as the captain of the Mumbai team for the Under-25 Col CK Nayudu Trophy by the Mumbai’s senior selection committee, led by former India pacer Salil Ankola. The tournament will start on March 22, with Mumbai playing at Puducherry.
Angkrish Raghuvanshi, who played for India in the Under-19 World Cup recently, will join the squad after his Class XII exams. “He will join the team on the 22nd after finishing his exams,” Ankola told TOI.
The squad includes allrounder Musheer Khan, who put up a splendid show with both bat and ball for the Mumbai Under-19 team in the Cooch Behar Trophy, and talented batsman Ayaz Khan, who did well in both the Times Shield (scored 381 runs@63. 50 for DY Patil, highest score: 156) and in Cooch Behar (419 runs@69. 83, highest score: 203 vs J&K).
