The NASCAR Cup Series could not have had a better February.
The Clash was a success as an event. The Daytona 500 had a packed house and a new winner that could very well be the next star of the series in Austin Cindric. Last week in Fontana, a widely entertaining race (helped that it was a 400-mile race and not a 500-mile behemoth) ended with a Kyle Larson victory and controversy between he and Chase Elliott along with some surprise results by some mid-tier teams.
Now, to Las Vegas and the first 1.5-mile race with the Next Gen car. Will Joe Gibbs Racing put its best foot forward or will this officially be a Slow Start for the team? Will Hendrick and Penske continue to run up front? Will we see more parity like on Sunday, when RCR and Petty GMS Racing teams dominated the first 300 miles?
