While Bayern look tough to catch, the race for Champions League spots is heating up with Bayer Leverkusen re-affirming their grip on third with a 3-0 home victory over Arminia Bielefeld. Fourth-placed Leipzig edged Bochum 1-0 with Christopher Nkunku scoring in the 82nd minute, while Freiburg thrashed Hertha Berlin 3-0 and Hoffenheim also won 2-1 over Stuttgart with a late double from Christoph Baumgartner. Leipzig, Freiburg and Hoffenheim are all on 40 points.
