Let’s break down 10 tight end sleepers to target for fantasy football Week 17.
Week 17 is here! The championship is officially underway in many fantasy football leagues.
With the stakes raised, it is important to get production from the tight end position this week. With many elite options such as Darren Waller and T.J. Hockenson dealing with injuries, some fantasy football owners will be searching for a sleeper to pick up.
Let’s break down ten options.
10. Jared Pinkney, Detroit Lions
Rostered: 0.0%
The Lions’ tight end group has been devastated by injuries. T.J. Hockenson is on the IR with a season-ending thumb injury.
To make matters worse, Shane Zylstra suffered a knee injury in the Lions’ loss to the Atlanta Falcons last Sunday, and he will miss the remainder of the season. Furthermore, Brock Wright landed on the reserve/COVID-19 list on Tuesday.
Jared Pinkney could be the team’s starting tight end against the Seahawks on Sunday. There is some upside here, as the Seahawks have given up the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends this season.
9. Brevin Jordan, Houston Texans
Rostered: 1.0%
Brevin Jordan had another solid performance last week with four receptions for 56 yards. Excluding his Week 15 game against the Jaguars where he was dealing with a hand injury, Jordan has scored 9+ fantasy points in four out of his seven games this season.
Down the stretch, the Texans appear to be utilizing the rookie more. He is a solid option in deeper leagues.
