Badminton England are delighted to announce the opening of the first ever National Youth Voice Forum to ensure the views and thoughts of young people are heard.
This will aim to help raise the profile of young people in badminton and make the sport even more attractive and accessible to young people.
The forum will essentially guide the work Badminton England does across the country to ensure the game’s players of tomorrow are represented, and that their voice is heard.
Anyone aged 14-21 can become a member, if they have a genuine passion for the game and for making badminton more inclusive to all young people.
In particular, Badminton England is looking for people who are comfortable working in a team, whilst also being confident in leading and influencing others.
Applicants are also encouraged to apply if they consider themselves as someone who loves a challenge and who enjoys working with others to overcome them.
Those who are successful would be committing to being proactive in getting the views of young people in their region on the game, while also attending two or three meetings per year.
In return, members have the chance to work with and learn from other young people across the country, together with the opportunity to be part of the world’s most prestigious Badminton tournament – the Yonex All England.
