Twelve days of Inter-Regional Water Polo Championships action for three age groups has been confirmed for 2022.
Competitions will be held for the U14s, U16s and U18s boys and girls.
U18s boys’ and girls’ championships
The U18s are in action first with the girls’ tournament being staged on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 March.
Hosted by the North West Region, the Division One matches will take place at the Palatine Leisure Centre, Blackpool.
North West, South West, North East, London and South East will be battling for the Division One title.
This division is based on final placings at the U14 (2005 and younger) event as they did not compete at U16 level due to the pandemic.
All other entered teams will be in Division Two with matches being held at Bolton One.
The North West Region is also hosting the U18s Boys’ Division One, at Blackpool’s Palatine Leisure Centre on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 March.
South West, London, North East, East & North West will be competing in this division and, again, this has been based on the final placings at the U14 (2005 and younger) event.
Division Two will be hosted by the East region with all the other teams entered playing matches at Watford Leisure Centre, Woodside.
All entries for the U18 competition must be returned by Friday 18 February.
U16s boys’ and girls’ championships
Liverpool Aquatics Centre will be the venue for the U16s girls’ tournament – hosted by the North West Region – on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 June.
The boys’ event will take place on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 July at a venue to be confirmed.
Entries for the U16s competition need to be returned by Friday 13 May.
All teams will participate in a two-pitch tournament; as they did not compete at U14 (2007 and younger) level due to the pandemic.
U14s boys’ and girls’ championships
All entries for the U14s boys’ and girls’ competition need to be returned by Friday 14 October.
West Midlands Region is hosting the event with the boys’ matches taking place at the Walsall Gala Baths on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 November.
That will also be the venue for the girls’ competition, which will be held on the weekend of 3-4 December.
