A lot of Newcastle United fans have flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts at the latest tweet to emerge from Sky Sports presenter Pete Graves.
The reporter has provided an update on the Toon’s transfer dealings with a move for Jesse Lingard a real possibility and a deal for Diego Carlos moving closer to completion.
Have the new owners impressed you this month?
Yes
No
On top of those two updates, Graves believes the Magpies are also looking to bring in another striker and are still looking for a new left-back.
However, the clock is ticking down for Newcastle to find some new recruits both in this month’s transfer window and in terms of Premier League games remaining.
With just one win to their name this season, Eddie Howe’s side sits two points adrift of safety, but with 18 games left to play it seems these fans have some optimism after the latest transfer update.
What did these fans have to say?
“These would be absolutely huge signings for us”
“News you like to hear”
“Pete getting my hopes up again”
“Finally some good news”
“Some positivity at last….let’s hope we can get some of these over the line by the end of next week”
“Lingard i beg happen”
To date, the Tyneside club have been able to bring in two new faces in Kieran Trippier and Chris Wood, however, the results have failed to pick up in the early days after their arrivals.
Although the defence has not conceded many goals recently, the goals conceded against Cambridge United and Watford have highlighted the deficiencies in Howe’s backline.
