Orlando Pirates striker Gabadinho Mhango and Polokwane City’s Khuda Muyaba scored as Malawi beat Comoros 2-1 in a warm-up match for the Africa Cup of Nations finals.
The match took place on Friday in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia where Malawi and Comoros are holding pre-AFCON camp training.
Mhango opened the scoring via a free-kick in the 25th minute.
Mhango, who has scored one free-kick goal at Pirates this season, then turned provider when he laid the ball for Muyaba to add the second goal in the 39th minute.
Comoros reduced the deficit from the penalty spot through Faiz Matoour who was fouled by John Banda.
Malawi interim coach Mario Marinica pulled out debutant Zebron Kalima, Banda and Lawrence Chaziya (debutant) for Fransisco Madinga, Charles Petro and Peter Cholopi.
Eventually, Cholopi picked an injury and left the stage for Chikoti Chirwa before Micium Mhone and William Thole replaced winger Yamikani Chester and goalkeeper Ernest Kakhobwe.
Malawi next face Mali later before leaving Saudi Arabia for Cameroun on Wednesday.
