Atalanta’s Ruslan Malinovskiy has played down talk of La Dea potentially challenging for the title.
Atalanta beat Napoli 3-2 at the Maradona and Malinovskiy was on the scoresheet, and so were Merih Demiral and Remo Freuler. The gap between the top four is now down to just four points.
Malinovskiy told Sky after the game, when asked about La Dea potentially challenging for the league: “No no no, we don’t have this stuff in the locker room. Let’s think about the next one. In Naples it’s difficult to get points, we played very well, we never give up. We know that in ninety minutes we can win.”
Atalanta face Villarreal in their next Champions League game and it could decide their future in the European competition this season.
