Inter Miami CF Hosts ‘serving Those That Serve Us’ Presented by Wendy’s Ahead of Thanksgiving

November 24, 2021 – Major League Soccer (MLS) – Inter Miami CF News Release

Inter Miami CF launched its 2021 Thanksgiving initiatives yesterday, hosting ‘Serving Those That Serve Us Presented by Wendy’s,’ a special luncheon for members of the United States Army as a token of gratitude and appreciation for their service and dedication. Additionally, the Club packed and donated over 200 bags of food to distribute in the South Florida community.

Inter Miami opened the doors to DRV PNK Stadium and invited members of the LT Alexander Ninninger Jr. United States Army Reserves Center to a special Thanksgiving luncheon hosted by the Club. Goalkeeper Nick Marsman, Club staff and volunteers were on hand to serve the guests and to personally thank each soldier for their service and dedication to their country and countrymen.

Each soldier in attendance received a custom gift bag including partner gift cards and Club merchandise. Presenting partner Wendy’s also hosted ‘Fútbol Salutes’ earlier in the 2021 season, paying tribute to the military with a special appreciation night. Supporting partners Ford, Coca Cola, Publix and Heineken also came on board for this initiative.

In addition to the luncheon, Inter Miami also packed over 200 bags of non-perishable food staples that were donated to the local 501©3 organization Food For the Poor, Inc. who works to serve those in extreme poverty both locally and abroad.

Inter Miami, along with presenting partner Wendy’s and supporting partners Ford, Publix, Coca Cola and Heineken, are honored to be able to have the opportunity to serve and spend time with local servicemen and women during this Thanksgiving and hope that each bag of food brings comfort and aid to the recipients during this holiday season.
