The annual Britcar ‘Into The Night’ races returned to Brands Hatch to mark the end of the 2021 Goodyear Britcar Trophy season.
RACE REPORT
Ian Humphris / Benji Hetherington would fend off a late attack from Valluga Motorsport teammates Carl Cavers / Sean Doyle to claim victory in race 1. Niall Bradley came from the pitlane to finish in second overall whilst Cavers / Doyle came home third after causing an early finish to the race after beaching their car in the gravel at Paddock Hill.
Local driver Steve Rothery brought his Peugeot 308 Racing Cup car home for his first victory of the season fending off a late recovery drive from Valluga pairing Humphris / Cavers who shared one car due to the other being damaged in the previous day’s race. They would clinch second with Anton Spires completing the top three in his Renault Clio Cup car.
