Netherlands see off Norway
The Netherlands would play out their final World Cup 2022 qualifier on Tuesday evening.
The Oranje faced off with Norway at the De Keuip stadium in a tie that they needed to draw to guarantee their spot at the World Cup in Qatar next year.
Norway began the day sat 3rd in Group G and would have overtaken the Netherlands should they have picked up the three points.
However, when all was said and done it would be Louis van Gaal’s side who came away with a huge win on the night.
Could Steven Bergwijn start for Tottenham against Leeds?
The day’s scoring was not opened until the 84th minute when Arnaut Danjuma slipped in Steven Bergwijn who smashed his effort past Orjan Nyland.

Bergwijn then turned provider seven minutes later to set up Memphis Depay who guaranteed the win and a spot at the 2022 World Cup.
Bergwijn’s starring display was, of course, good news for the Netherlands as he played a key role in both of their goals.
But it was a big boost for Antonio Conte. The Italian has so far taken charge of two Tottenham games, neither of which Bergwijn has featured in.
Lucas Moura has instead been used in the right-wing role of Conte’s three-man attack. However, Bergwijn’s display against Norway, which actually came from him being used on the right despite him being a natural left-winger, will surely hand Conte something of a selection headache before the Lilywhites’ next outing which takes place this weekend vs Leeds.
Do you think Bergwijn deserves a chance to start against Leeds after impressing on Tuesday?
