Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak have finally responded to claims by Great Olympics that Gladson Awako is no longer a player of Hearts of Oak.
Olympics have publicly claimed the 30-year-old has automatically reverted to the Wonder Club following Hearts’ failure to fulfill their financial obligations to Olympics.
Awako signed for Hearts in August after the Phobians reached a deal with Olympics worth GHS100,000.00.
Since Olympics made the claims Hearts had not officially responded to the claims but on Asempa FM’s SportsNite show, Hearts of Oak spokesperson Kwame Opare Addo, has insisted Gladson Awako remains a player of the club.
“Gladson Awako is a Hearts of Oak player. He has a contract with the club and when he starts training he will play,” he told Enoch Worlanyo on Asempa FM’s SportsNite show.
Awako is the most decorated Ghanaian player on the Ghanaian domestic scene.
