Southampton vs Manchester United
Sunday’s Premier League action will see three games play out. One of the first will see Southampton play host to Manchester United at 2 PM UK time.
The Saints endured a pretty underwhelming opening to the campaign, which saw Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side look pretty awful defensively, eventually conceding three goals against Everton.
Man United, on the other hand, could not have asked for a better season-opener.
The Red Devils faced off with Leeds United at Old Trafford. And after unveiling Raphael Varane pre-match, they went on to smash Marcelo Bielsa’s side by five goals to one.
Bruno Fernandes netted a hat-trick on the day, whilst Paul Pogba provided four assists. As such, United are no doubt confident of earning their second win of the campaign on Sunday.
Sancho on the bench vs Southampton
Ahead of the game, both sides would of course release their starting line-ups an hour before kick-off.
Manchester United put out a pretty strong starting eleven, which looks set to see Paul Pogba once again deployed in the wide areas.
However, there would be no starts for either of United’s new signings, with both Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane on the bench.

The latter being on the bench did seem very likely as he was only unveiled as a Man United player last weekend vs Leeds
Sancho though, has been training with his new club for around two weeks now and came off the bench vs Leeds last time out.
This, in turn, has led to Man United fans taking to Twitter to question why Solskjaer has left the winger on the bench vs the Saints:
Spend 2 seasons chasing Sancho for him to join Donny on the bench sometimes you have to wonder what’s the fucking point. Yeah we will probably win but still don’t understand the decision making

Why the fuck would you not have Sancho starting?

I don’t understand how Sancho and Varane both are not starting. I would understand if one was not starting but both?
