We are now accepting entries for the 2021 UK Women’s Snooker Championship which is set to run from 4-5 September at the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds, England.
Held most recently in 2019, the ranking tournament will mark the return of the World Women’s Snooker Tour following its suspension during the coronavirus pandemic and is set to welcome many of the world’s leading players back to competition.
World number one Reanne Evans is expected to be among the field as she bids to claim what would be a record-extending tenth UK crown, while four-time winner Ng On Yee is unbeaten in the event since 2016 and will be looking to continue that run.
Other favourites will include current world number four Rebecca Kenna, who impressed at this year’s professional World Championship qualifiers in April, as well as 2012 champion Maria Catalano, who also reached the final of the event two years ago.
Although the international travel situation remains uncertain, a bumper field is expected to compete at the event, with any first-time WWS player also eligible for free entry to the main competition. There will also be side-tournaments played for our Under-21 and Seniors (Over-40s) players, with a Challenge Cup on the Sunday open to any player out of the main.
The event will once again take place at the Northern Snooker Centre, home of the UK Championship since 2015 and a 147 Club member of the English Partnership for Snooker and Billiards.
The closing date for entries is 4:30pm BST on Friday 27 August 2021.
