In this article, we take a look at each and every player walking the disciplinary tightrope ahead of the European Championships’ Round-of-16.
Last-16 awaits
The final round of group stage fixtures at Euro 2020 were played out a little over 24 hours ago.
A pair of pulsating meetings between Germany and Hungary, and Portugal and France, brought an apt close to not only the competition’s ‘Group of Death’, but its opening round as a whole.
An action-packed couple of weeks, complete with stunning goals, red cards, controversial decisions and shock results, has since culminated in eight nations being sent on their way.
The sides in question? Turkey, Finland, Russia, North Macedonia, Scotland, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary.
For the remaining 16 nations, though, attentions will now turn to the Euros’ first round of knockout fixtures.
Saturday will see Wales and Denmark get the action underway, before Italy and Austria do battle a short time later. The ensuing three days, meanwhile, feature a host of mouthwatering ties, including showdowns between both England and Germany, and Belgium and Portugal.
