Dreams FC moved above Hearts of Oak on the Ghana Premier League table after securing a deserving 2-0 win over the Phobians at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu on Sunday.
Serbian trainer Vladislav Viric sealed the enviable win over the Phobians thanks to second-half goals from young striker Huzaf Ali and substitute Sylvester Simba.
Hearts had experienced central defender Nuru Suley sent off just moments before Huzaf’s opening goal which arrived on the 54th minute mark.
Huzaf, 22, out-jumped everybody in the box in the area to head home his first goal in the Ghanaian top-flight from a cross. Dreams signed the youngster from second-tier side Bofoakwa Tano.
Hearts coach Samuel Boadu introduced Mohammed Alhassan to replace Umar Manaf following Nuru’s sending off while Isaac Mensah and Emmanuel Nettey were also given feel of the action but their introduction did little to alter the complexion of the game as Sylvester Simba climbed off the bench to ice the cake for the home side who recorded their second win against the former African champions since their promotion to the top flight.
The defeat sees Hearts plateaued to 5th while Dreams gatecrash the top 4 place.
