ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women’s golf team will be the final spring sport to begin competition on South Hill, as the Bombers compete at the Red Dragon Shootout hosted by SUNY Cortland on Saturday at 11:30 a.m.
The Bombers competed in just one match-play event last spring before the season came to a halt, and prior to the March 10 contest against Nazareth in Florida, IC was last in action on October 5-6, 2020.
After the Shootout on Saturday in Cortland, the Bombers will compete in the Central NY Spring Invitational on Pompey, N.Y. on April 17.
On April 24, the Bombers will return to Ithaca and host the Ithaca Invitational at the Country Club of Ithaca. The last time IC played on its home course was September 28, 2020.
Ithaca concludes its season with a two-day Liberty League Championship Tournament on May 1-2 at Turning Stone in Verona, N.Y.
Head coach Keith Batson will head into this season with a strong group of six golfers – all of which return from last year. Graduate student Peyton Greco is back for her final season of eligibility, while senior Sophia Israel will look to major impact for the Bombers. Juniors Caitlin McGrinder and Katherine Chan, and sophomores Mary Gersec and Cristea Park round out the lineup for this spring.
