Lance Archer is the new IWGP United States Champion.
Archer defeated Jon Moxley in a brutal Texas death match on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Fyter Fest night two.
Archer hit a chokeslam on Moxley through two tables covered in barbed wire to keep Moxley down for a ten-count, winning the match and the title.

With the win Archer is now a two-time IWGP US Champion. It was announced after the match that Archer will defend against NJPW’s Hikuleo at Fight for the Fallen next week.
Moxley had been champion for over 18 months, winning the title from Archer at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 14 in January 2020.
