Fox Sports is celebrating women’s sport in April, with a dedicated channel to showcase the best in Australian and international sport with the return of FOXW.

From April 1-30, the FOXW pup-up channel (Fox Sports Channel 507) has every minute of women’s sport covered.

From Sam Kerr’s Matildas to Meg Lanning’s Australian tour of New Zealand, Tyler Wright’s World Super League defence to Minjee Lee n the USLPGA Tour, we’ve got it all.

There will also be a number of FOXW Specials too, including a four-part series featuring exclusive interview with some of Australia’s most inspirational sportswomen.

AFLW Finals Series

After an exciting home and away season, the AFLW Finals Series kicks off on Sunday, April 4.

W-LEAGUE Finals Series

The 2021 Westfield W-League comes to its peak with the semi-finals on April 4 and 5 deciding the two qualifying teams to go head-to-head in the grand final on Sunday, April 11.

MATILDAS International Friendlies

With preparations commencing for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, our Matildas play in two international matches, facing European powerhouse Germany on April 11, and FIFA Women’s World Cup silver medallists Netherlands on April 14.

This will be the first time the women’s national team will be in action since qualifying for Tokyo, and will also give us a first look at Matilda’s new head coach Tony Gustavsson at the helm.

CRICKET NZ v AUS ODI Series

Our world champion cricketers went down on the last ball of the second T20I across the ditch to set-up an exciting series decider.

But it doesn’t stop there.

Matthew Mott’s side will face the White Ferns in three ODI’s this April. Captain Meg Lanning will lead the Aussies in the white-ball competition on April 4, 7 and 10. There, Australia will also have the chance to break the world record for the most consecutive ODI wins by any team (women’s or men’s).

WSL SURFING

The 2021 Women’s Championship Tour of the World Surf League gets underway in April with double-header events hosted on our very own shores. The Rip Curl Newcastle Cup from April 1-11 directly followed by the Rip Curl Narrabeen Classic from April 16-26. Aussie world number one Tyler Wright alongside Sally Fitzgibbons and Stephanie Gilmore headline the field.

FIH PRO-LEAGUE HOCKEY

The month of April will feature Women’s FIH Pro-League Hockey with Argentina, USA, Germany and China all taking to field.

Australia’s Hockeyroos are set to host back-to-back blockbusters against New Zealand on April 24 and 25 in Perth.

And they’ve just announced their new coach, with Katrina Powell taking over as the Hockeyroos with less than four months until the Tokyo Olympics.

USLPGA GOLF

The USLPGA Tour features four tournament in April, teeing off with the ANA Inspiration on April 2, the Lotte Championship on April 15, the Hugel-Air Premia LA Open on April 23 – with Australian Minjee Lee the defending champion – and the HSBC Women’s World Championship on April 29.
