Swimming and Diving in Action on Day 2 at National Invitational Championships

Junior Jeannette King and freshman Cassidy Stotler represented the Central Connecticut swimming and diving team at the CSCAA National Invitational Championships on Friday at the Beacon Health Aquatics Center in Elkhart, IN. The Blue Devils have scored 30.5 points to rank 28th in the team standings following Day 1.

The NIC wraps up Saturdday with the 1000 freestyle, 1650 freestyle, 100 IM, 200 backstroke, 100 freestyle, 200 breaststroke, 200 butterfly and 400 freestyle relay. Prelims start at 9:30 and finals start at 6 p.m. A live stream of the meet can be found on Vimeo.

TOP PERFORMANCES (Day 2)

  • 100 Breast– Freshman Cassidy Stotler swam in the B-Final and finished with a time of 1:03.31. She qualified with a time of 1:03.19 in the prelims.
  • 100 Back – Junior Jeannette King tied for the third-fastest time in the B-Final, finishing in 54.89. She posted a time of 55.42 in the prelims.
