Central Connecticut State softball dropped the final game of its series with Wagner on Sunday, falling to the Seahawks 4-1.

KEY MOMENTS
- The Seahawks had a scoring oppurtunity in the bottom of the second after starting the inning with a walk and a single. The Blue Devil defense was able to keep the scoreboard blank thanks to a clutch throw home for the last out.
- Kim Howard started the fourth inning with a double down the left field line, but the Seahawks kept the runner in scoring position at bay.
- After a leadoff walk for the Seahawks, Wagner hit a two runer home run for the first score of the afternoon. Kaylee Whittaker got three quick outs after this to get out of the inning.
- Wagner hit a leadoff single in the bottom of the fifth inning that was quickly scored by a single. The Blue Devils made another clutch play at the plate to end the inning and hold off another run.
- Meg Gorman hit a double to center field in the top of the sixth inning and made it to third before the Seahawks got a punchout for the final out of the inning. Wagner hit a RBI double in the bottom of the sixth that extended their lead to four.
- Molly Bruyns hit a single in the top of the seventh to get on board and was advanced after Kristin Rose drew a walk. Meg Dugas hit a single to right field that scored Rose for CCSU’s first run of the afternoon.
